Privacy Policy

PlayCortex is operated by PlayCortex LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Gurugram, India in April 2026. The founders are accessible directly. For any privacy question, the fastest route is email.

For everything in this document, "we", "us", and "PlayCortex" refer to PlayCortex LLP. "You" refers to the athlete, parent, coach, or visitor using the platform.

The PlayCortex v1 build collects a small, specific set of information. The full list, in plain language:

1. Your name
So we can address you correctly in your read, in emails, and in any follow-up. This too is optional and can be anonymised.

2. Your email address
So we can send you your result, recover your account, and contact you about your own data. We do not use it for any marketing list without your separate, opt-in consent.

3. Your sport
So your read can be contextualised against research and patterns specific to your sport. Sport context meaningfully changes how some of the axes are interpreted.

4. Your age
So we can apply the right consent pathway (minors require guardian co-sign), and so we can interpret your read against age-appropriate norms where they exist. This too is a separate add on and optional.

5. Your test answers and results
The twenty answers you submit, the per-axis scores generated from them, and the archetype your responses map to. This is what allows you to come back later and see your read again.

6. Basic technical data
Standard server logs and analytics: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, time on page. We use this to keep the site running and to understand what is and isn't working. It is not linked to your account beyond standard session security.

Three reasons, in order of importance:

1. To deliver the product you signed up for. The situational mentality test cannot generate a meaningful read without your answers, sport, and age. The result cannot reach you without your name and email.

2. To improve the test and other features over time. Patterns across many anonymised, aggregated responses help us refine question quality, axis design, and archetype mapping. This work is done on data that has been stripped of anything identifying.

3. To keep the platform safe and accountable. Technical logs help us prevent abuse, debug problems, and respond if something breaks.

We do not collect data for any reason that is not on this list.

1. You, always. Your full data is visible to you when logged in. Export or delete it in one click.

2. The PlayCortex team, need-to-know only. Identifiable data is accessed only to deliver the product or honour your requests.

3. Service providers, under contract. Hosting, email, and database providers process data on our behalf, never for their own purposes.

4. Coaches, academies, federations, selectors — none of them. We do not sell, share, or licence athlete data. If you share your read, that is your decision.

5. Aggregate research. Anonymised patterns (e.g. "median identity attachment among 1,000 cricketers aged 16–22") may be published. No individual is identifiable.

1. Active accounts: as long as you use the platform.

2. Inactive 24+ months: flagged, you are emailed before any action.

3. Deletion requests: honoured as soon as reasonably possible

4. Guest test-takers: results discarded on tab close.

5. Anonymised aggregate data: retained indefinitely.

1. See everything we hold about you.
2. Correct anything that's wrong.
3. Delete your account and all associated data.
4. Export your data in a portable format.
5. Withdraw consent at any time.
6. Complain to us first, then to a data protection authority if unresolved.

HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, audit-logged access, no payment data stored. If a breach affects your data, we notify you as soon as reasonably possible

Essential cookies keep you logged in and the site running. Analytics cookies help us see what works and can be switched off from the banner. No advertising cookies, no retargeting, no cross-site tracking.

We update the version number and date at the top, and email registered users at least 14 days before any material change. Continued use after a change is acceptance. If you disagree, you can delete your account at any time.
